Air operations involving the employment of air power in coordination with ground or maritime forces. This includes gaining and maintaining a favorable air situation, preventing enemy reserves from joining with forward forces, destroying enemy forces, and providing direct support to land and maritime forces to assist them in attaining common objectives.
